Susan Dianne Ocheltree, age 77, of Rochester, MN passed away on Monday, July 29th, 2024, at Madonna Towers in Rochester, MN. Susan was born January 19, 1947, in Rochester, MN to George and Edna (Theel) Nemoede. She attended and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965. She then went on to attend Rochester Jr. College and Winona State University. Susan and Douglas Ocheltree were married in 1968. She worked at Mayo Clinic for many years as a desk attendant and supervisor in area medicine. She later worked in retail, first at Sears then Payless Shoes at Shopko North.
Susan and Doug enjoyed collecting pottery, glassware, and tobacciana memorabilia. They loved traveling to small towns, checking out antique shops. Doug died in 2011. Susan also attended auctions, flea markets, and concerts with her sisters. When she retired, Susan volunteered at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home, helping with various resident activities.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doug; brother, Edward Nemoede, and half-sister, Nancy Nemoede Machen.
She is survived by sisters, Ann (Tom) Schwalen and Bonnie Denzer; nephew, Edward (Susan) Denzer, and their children, Charles, David, and Elizabeth; and niece, Theona Denzer (Sabrina) Muhs, and their child, Albert.
Susan had requested no services be held. Susan and Doug will be buried together at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester. A private family burial will be held in the near future.
