Susan Pecorino, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished Nana, and dear sister, has peacefully passed away at the Bonne Vie Nursing Home in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born on September 18th, 1952, in Morgan City, Louisiana.
Susan devoted two decades of her life to a career in fabric retail, followed by another 15 years at H&R Block. Beyond her professional endeavors, Susan will be remembered for her culinary skills - she had a knack for cooking any dish with finesse that would usually feed the entire neighborhood.
Full of life and overflowing with generosity, Susan's warm personality shone through in every interaction. She found joy in conversing with friends and family over the phone, nurturing those connections that meant so much to her.
In her leisure time, Susan pursued various hobbies that brought her immense pleasure. She had a fondness for shopping, sewing, and exploring new destinations through travel.
The memory of Susan will forever be treasured by her surviving loved ones. She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-two years, Victor T. Pecorino, Jr., residing in Nederland, Texas. Susan's legacy lives on through her children, Sheri Pecorino of Nederland; Frank Pecorino and his wife Diana of Wylie, Texas; and Emily Mauer and her husband Jason of Nederland. Her adoring grandchildren, Micah Pecorino, Peyton and Parker Pecorino, and Maddie Mauer will hold dear the moments shared with their beloved Nana. Susan is also survived by her siblings, Jimmy Harvey, Dr. Sam Harvey, Sally Tullier, and Mary Ellen Brown.
Susan is reunited in peace with her parents, Dorothy Mae (Ketchum) Harvey and James Perkins Harvey as she embarks on her next journey.
To honor Susan Pecorino's life and share cherished memories, a Visitation will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas 77627. A Celebration of Susan's Life will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
In this time of loss, may the love and warmth Susan shared continue to inspire those who were touched by her presence.
