Susan "Susie" Ruggiero ObituaryFuneral Mass for Susan "Susie" (nee Shea) Ruggiero, 68, of Willoughby, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor.
Susie passed away peacefully at her home on July 14, 2025.
Born on February 21, 1957, in Youngstown, Ohio, Susie graduated from Harvey High School as salutatorian of her class. She went on to build a dedicated career as a Radiology Technician, serving with compassion and skill for over 30 years.
Susie deeply cherished her Irish heritage, embracing its traditions with pride. She loved spending time by the ocean, where the sound of the waves brought her peace and joy. Susie also had a deep love of flowers and always appreciated the simple beauty of a fresh bouquet.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Nicholas, and her beloved daughters, Lauren (Philip) Ruggiero and Lia (Orlando) Ruggiero; grandchildren, Vincent and Santiago; beloved sister of Katie (Peter) Thomas and Patricia (Denny) Horvath; aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Shea.
Her spirit, kindness, and strength will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m at the church, prior to Mass.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Susie's name may be made to The Lake Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Bldg. E, Mentor, OH 44060.
