Susan was united in marriage on September 12, 1981 to John Peter Shaddle and spent the next 44 years happily together. Mrs. Shaddle served her country proudly as a commissioned officer with the United States Air Force reserves. She was formerly a Professor of Nursing at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL. She exemplified a Christ like life.
She is survived by her husband, John Shaddle; her daughters, Margaret Ruth Shaddle of Yorkville, IL and Heather (Jami Green) Shaddle-Secrest of Elburn, IL; her grandchildren, Hannah Secrest, Leah Secrest, and Aiden Green; Best aunt of Michael Sullivan and her niece, Kelly (Michael) Legamaro.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Plano Methodist Church, 219 N. Hale St., Plano, IL. Interment will follow in the South Big Rock Welsh Cemetery in Big Rock, IL.
Family and Friends may visit from 4:00-6:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Plano Methodist Church in Plano, IL.
Memorials in Susan's name may be directed to the Les Turner ALS Foundation, lesturnerals.org.
