Susan Sheppard Obituary
A native of Alamance County, she was the loving wife of 51 years to Marshall "Smokey" Sheppard, Jr., who survives and the daughter of William Lloyd Gurganious and Margie Mann Gurganious, both deceased.
Susan was a 1976 graduate of Graham High School. She worked as a manager at K-Mart for 37 years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and cooking was her passion. Susan loved spending time together with Smokey and their dog, Ranger.
In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include two sisters, Cindy Brantley and husband Barry of Durham and Margo Roberts of Graham; her cousin, Carrie Davis and husband Hugh of Burlington; and a niece and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Roberts.
There will be no service at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County, PO Box 5117, Burlington, NC 27216.
