Susan Sutton Obituary

Susie immigrated to America in April 1961 and worked in the NY Foundling Hospital. She married Frank Sutton in September of 1966. They lived in New York until March of 1973 when they moved to Pearl River to raise their children. Susie loved going for long walks, baking her famous Irish soda bread, spending time with family and friends, and traveling to Florida with Frank every winter.
Susie is survived by so many who were blessed to know her, including her husband of 58 years, Frank, her daughter Marie, and her husband Michael Hussey. Her son, Patrick, and his girlfriend Michelle Murray, and her adored granddaughter, Jackie Shae. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Kitty, Patsy, Seamus, Matty, and Nancy. And by her in-laws Patricia and Patsy.
She is predeceased by her parents and her siblings Bridie, Bart, and Eileen, by her in-laws Jimmy, Tommy, Nuala, and Carmel. And by her nephews Kieran and James, and niece Trish.Susie was loved by all the Smiths and Suttons and extended family and friends.
The wake will be held at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY on Sunday, April 7th from 3:00 - 7:00 pm with A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aedan's on Monday, April 8th, at 10:00 am.

Susie and I have been friends since 1964 when she first visited Wicklow. I have valued her friendship ever since.
I and Vincent send our deepest sympathy to Frank, Marie, Patrick and all the extended family at this sad time.
May Susie rest in peace.
