Susan Taylor Obituary
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M on June 16, 2023 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M on June 17, 2023 at Gladewater Cemetery. Pastor Kerry Adamek will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home located at 2256 N Edwards Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX, 75455.
Susan Kay Taylor, a lifelong resident of Mount Pleasant, TX, died unexpectedly on June 13, 2023, at the age of 57.
Susan was born in Mount Pleasant, TX, on April 11, 1966, to James Leland Taylor and Norma Sue Taylor. On April 25, 1988, she welcomed her first son William Eric Swan and on July 20, 1991, she welcomed her second son Christopher Corey Swan who were the most important part of her life.
Susan is survived by her sons, William Eric Swan and Christopher Corey Swan and his wife Smaila Swan, her granddaughters, Graci Rose Swan and Ella Marie Swan, her siblings, James Michael Taylor, his wife Debbie Lawrence and Deborah Gail Utley, her husband Thomas Earl Utley.
Susan is preceded in death by her father James Leland Taylor who died on October 23, 2021, her mother Norma Sue Taylor who died on December 5, 2021, and her beloved dogs, Thor, Bindi, and Colby.
Anyone that knew Susan knows she also loved all her dogs, Sailor, Piper, Thor, Bindi, and Colby more than anything in the world. She enjoyed traveling and going on trips with her family. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
