Susana Landers, 49, passed away on November 24, 2025, in Texas City.

Born in Guatemala, she was the daughter of Zoila Navarro and Juan Navarro (deceased). She graduated from Ball High School and worked for many years in the Galveston Strand Historic District.

She will be remembered for her beautiful charm, humor, intelligence, and loving nature-a strong and caring mother. She had a bright, uplifting sense of humor that could light up any room, and she brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her love left an imprint that will never fade. She found joy in the simple things-cooking meals for her family, reading, caring for her plants, and listening to music-each bringing her peace and reflecting the warmth she shared with others.

She is survived by her mother, Zoila Navarro; her children, Andrew and Marcus Landers; and her siblings, Mayra Stauter, Angelica Flournoy (husband, Spicer Flournoy), and Juan R. Navarro. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Natalie, Michael, Michaela, Isaiah ,Christian and James.

The memorial service will be held on November 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Carnes Funeral Home (3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591). The viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
