Susie Doris Buchanan

Susie Doris Buchanan, 79, of the South Toe Community, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, surrounded by family at her home. She was the loving wife to Charlie Ray Buchanan, and daughter of the late Lonnie and Tessie Biddix. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her three sisters: Beverly Biddix, Ruth Dale (Sam), and Evie Denney (Carl); and four brothers: Jack Biddix, Cecil Biddix, Dayton Biddix (Evelyn), and Curtis Biddix.
She is survived by her children who she loved dearly: Delores Ann Buchanan (Dennis Ballew) of Rutherfordton, Nicholas Buchanan of Burnsville, and Sharleen Lee (Brian) of South Toe; four grandchildren: Misty Elliot, Nicole Fox, Ashley Winebarger and Brandon Buchanan; several great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister, Ida Deyton; and sisters-in-law: Carthea, wife of Cecil Biddix, and Dorothy, wife of Curtis Biddix.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 27th, 2022 at Patton-Thicket Cemetery in Burnsville, NC at 2 p.m. Reverend Frank Honeycutt will officiate.
