Our beloved mother and grandmother, Susie (Susan) Parker, died on September 20, 2024, unexpectedly. She was 67. She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Esther Gooding and was born October 10, 1957 in Florida. She lived much of her life in Florida and Georgia, but did spend part of her childhood on the island of Barbados. She was the heart of her home and family. She was the devoted mother to James Parker (Christie), Jamie Munsey, and the late Nathan Parker and showed them all unconditional, selfless love. Susie was married for 49 years to her Teddy Bear, Teddy Parker. As a grandma to Madison, Ethan, Isabelle and Londyn, she was kind, nurturing, and funny. Her siblings, Linda Mangum, Nancy Brown (Fred) and Eugene Gooding (Diane). She generally spoiled them all rotten and loved them dearly. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandma (Mamie), sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all. Susie was a homemaker and a fantastic cook. She was known for her servant's heart and giving spirit. She was a longtime member of The Bridge Church in Pembroke, Ga. She was always thankful for her faith and the peace she found in the Lord. She loved the simple things in life like drinking coffee on the porch and watching the birds. She was the heart and soul of our family, and will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Edwin and Esther Gooding; she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Elliott Gooding, Jr.
