Richard “Rick” Stanley McClary, age 80, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025. Mr. McClary was born in Charleston, SC to the late Jesse Smith McClary and Ruby Hiot McClary. After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School, Mr. Rick served two years in the U.S. Army. One of which was in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Mr. McClary retired from Sisson Scale with over 53 years of service as a technician and general manager. Rick was a wonderful husband and father and was a long time member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir. He loved old hymns, was an excellent guitarist and played the mandolin.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jean Graham McClary, two daughters, one brother, one sister, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
No services are scheduled at this time.
