Croley Funeral Home - GladewaterSuzanne Isabelle Bardwell was born on September 19, 2025, and passed away on October 3, 2025, at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She was diagnosed with the rare Vein of Galen Malformation in the womb. Due to the size and severity of the aneurysm causing severe brain and heart damage she was not expected to survive birth, however she defiantly survived 14 days comfortably providing love to her parents and new data to help diagnose and treat future VOGM infants.
She is survived by her parents Joshua Ray and Jennifer Lynn Bardwell of West Mountain, grandfather James Ray Bardwell of East Mountain, grandmother Mary Jane Bull of Benbrook, aunt Kathy Bull of Benbrook, great-grandmother Carol Jones of Longview, uncle Ray Bull and family of Lakeway, uncle and aunt Phillip and Julia Brown of Corsicana, godparents Tim and C.J. Wright of Forney, and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by grandmother Suzanne Brown Bardwell and grandfather Raymond Henry Bull.
The family extends their gratitude to the medical teams at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, UT Southwestern, Christus Good Shepherd, Texas Children’s, Mount Sinai and Boston Children’s Hospital who were invested in giving her every possible chance. Immense appreciation goes out to the medical and firefighting family of Christus, Smith County Emergency Services District #2 and West Mountain Volunteer Fire Department who provided a constant support network.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Vein of Galen Malformation Support Group, a 501c3 nonprofit that spreads awareness, promotes medical advancements, connects families with VOGM specialists around the world, and provides financial assistance to families. They can be reached at VOGM.org or by clicking the link below.
