Mrs. Suzanne "Sue" Bergmark, 82, passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Ronald Bergmark; her daughters, Marcey (Ron) Onofrio, Rebecca Bergmark, and Patricia (Sean) Pragano; and her four cherished grandchildren, Morgan (Anthony) Vorio, Cory (Maegen) Onofrio, Sean Patrick and Cameron Pragano. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren, Ella and Ivy Vorio and Camila and Levi Onofrio, her entire family living in Northford. Born on August 5, 1943, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Sue was the daughter of the late Frederick and Martha Lytle. She was predeceased by her brothers, Walter and Wylie Lytle. Sue worked as a legal secretary for more than 20 years. After retiring, she joined her daughter in her daycare, where she was affectionately known as "Mrs. Sue." Her days were filled with the joy, love, and laughter of the children she cared for, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Sue enjoyed vacationing with her family and friends, shopping, going out to dinner and spending time with the people she loved. She had many dear friends and considered herself truly blessed.
The visiting hours will be Friday, January 2nd from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at The Havens family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, with a service immediately following. Interment will be held at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Branford Food Pantry. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Smilow Cancer Center for the compassion, care, and dedication they showed Sue as she bravely battled two different cancers in the last 10 years. www.northhavenfuneral.com
