Suzanne Kathaleen Ruffra, 78, born on January 8, 1947 passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, holding her husband's hand, as she had done for the past 57 years.
Suzi was a retired table games dealer with Caesar's Casino. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at her beach condo, Tuesday movie day, her home in the woods, feeding her wild birds and long rides in the countryside.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Clydell Brehme, and daughter, Kitty Shay Ruffra. Suzi leaves behind a devastated husband of 53 years, James Allen Ruffra, Jr., son, James Shannon Ruffra, granddaughters, Morgan Suzette Ruffra, Kylie Shay Logsdon, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and countless friends who loved her. She was a shining star in an average world and will be greatly missed.
Suzi's wish was to be cremated and a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany was entrusted with her care.
