Suzanne M. (Roy) Tyrell, 64, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Holyoke to the late Robert and Janine (Jans) Roy, Suzanne's life was defined by her unwavering love for those around her. Although her time with us was too short, she lived fully, always surrounded by family and friends. Suzanne had a unique ability to reinvent herself, embracing a variety of careers she was passionate about. However, the highlight of her life was undoubtedly the time she spent caring for and cherishing her beloved grandchildren. Her selflessness and constant willingness to be there for her loved ones will be deeply missed.
Suzanne is survived by her two children: Courtney Cafarelli and her husband, Jason, of Wilbraham; and Evan Nyman and his wife, Melissa, also of Wilbraham. She is also survived by her brother, John P. Roy, and three precious grandchildren: Drake Cafarelli, and Lorenzo and Ella Nyman. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert J. Roy, who passed away in 2003.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM, with a Memorial Service immediately following at 6:30 PM, at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Baystate Hospice in Suzanne’s memory. Contributions can be made online at www.baystatehealth.org/foundation or by mail to the Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01119.
