Suzette had a diverse career that included being a waitress, a role she cherished for many years, and later serving as a retired nightwatchman at Kirby West. Her ability to connect with people and her commitment to service left a lasting impression on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
An avid reader, Suzette found joy in the magical world of literature, with a particular fondness for the "Harry Potter" series. This passion for reading reflected her curiosity and love for adventure, which she treasured throughout her life.
Suzette was a proud mother to her four sons: Mike Hammack, John Hammack, James Baird, and Steven Baird. The love and guidance she provided to her sons are deeply felt, as they carry her legacy forward.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Evelyn Duley, and her brothers, Davin Duley, Jerry Duley, and Ronnie Duley. Additionally, she is mourned by her granddaughter, Isa Beaux Hammack, whose memory will always be intertwined with her grandmother's love.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Suzette’s life during a viewing at Andrews Corgill Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas, on August 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will take place the following day, August 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Andrews County Cemetery.
Suzette Baird will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the profound impact she had on her loved ones. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
