Sylvia Anne Batcher

Sylvia Anne Batcher (nee Miller) of Stow, Ohio (born 02/13/1937) died on November 3, 2023. She was 86 years old. She was predeceased by Ken E. Batcher (husband), Ethel Miller (mother), and Hile Miller (father). She is survived by her daughter, Joan Booth, her son, Ken W. Batcher, and her brother, Bill Miller.
Born and raised in Ebensburg, PA, Sylvia lived most of her life in Stow, Ohio as a loving wife and mother. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Akron for over 50 years. She had studied art at the University of Akron, and loved gardening, and oil painting. Fascinated with history, she was particularly knowledgeable in the Civil War, and was very capable of telling interesting stories from her own life. She was also a doting grandmother to four grandchildren.
