Sylvia Faciane Dorr

Sylvia Faciane Dorr, born on August 14, 1944, in Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. A beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sylvia’s life was marked by joy, love, and adventure.

Sylvia shared her warmth and spirit with her family, which includes her daughters Gina and her husband Forest Adams III, Cherie and her husband Gary Davis, as well as her son Brian and his wife Tina Dorr. She is also cherished by her sisters Nativa, Beverly, Sheila, Carol, and Patricia, as well as her brother Guy. Sylvia was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren, a loving great-grandmother to fourteen great-grandchildren, and a delighted great-great-grandmother to one great-great-grandchild.

In her lifetime, Sylvia created a legacy filled with delightful memories, many of which were spent watching the sun set and rise by the beach and traveling. Her kind spirit and appreciation for the simple joys of life will be fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, George Faciane and Mary Vellico, as well as her loving husband, Charles M. Dorr. The memories will live on in the hearts of Sylvia's family and friends as they celebrate her life and the impact she made during her time with them.
