Sylvia Ann Everhart, 70, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1955, in Midland, Texas, to Samuel and Victoria Stringer.
Sylvia married John William Everhart II, and they shared over 38 loving years together until his passing. She was a devoted mother to Tanya Nicole and William Eric, and a proud grandmother to Hayden William Everhart, Haylee-Ann Moreno, Shayleen Everhart, and Hazel Everhart. She is also survived by her nephew, Matthew Mendoza, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John.
A loving "Mama Bear," Sylvia was known for her humor, creativity, and generous heart. She enjoyed shopping, being artistic, trying new things, and rescuing dogs. She adored her two beloved pets, Sassy and Argon.
Sylvia was a wonderful cook and baker, famous for her German chocolate cake, basil carrots, chili and cornbread, and homemade tortillas-recipes her family will continue to cherish.
In her final act of kindness, Sylvia chose to be an organ donor.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 3:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at American Heritage Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
