Sylvia C. Gonzales, 77, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Boerne, Texas. She was born on February 2,1948, in Del Rio, Texas, to Manuel and Juanita Cardenas.
Sylvia dedicated 24 years of service to Hill Country MHDD, where she made a lasting impact through her care and commitment to others. She had a deep love for the Lord and lived her life guided by her faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters Estella Hernandez, Romelia Aguliar, and Leticia Sandoval.
Sylvia is survived by her children: James Gonzales, Michael (Christina) Gonzales and Kristina Nombrano. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Sarah Gonzales, David Gonzales, Ryan Gonzales, Ruben Nombrano, Anthony Nombrano, and Marcus Nombrano. As well as her sister Refugia Partida, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Kerrville Christian Church, located at 323 Earl Garrett Street, officiated by James Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at San Felipe Cemetery, Del Rio, Texas. Graveside services were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home of Del Rio, Texas.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Kendall House Nursing Facility in Boerne and Alamo Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kerrville Christian Church in Sylvia's memory.
