Sylvia Housley Obituary
Longtime Hairdresser
Sylvia Jean Housley, 85, of Apison, TN, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Jean was a hairdresser for over 30 years in the Apison area.
She was originally from Cohutta, Georgia, and was born on January 29, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Edith Bolden. She was also preceded in death by her only daughter, Cynthia Ann Housley, and her sister, Mary Alice Coffee.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, W.T. Housley, and grandson, Greg Housley, both of Apison. Other survivors include nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Dwight Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow at Plowman Cemetery in Apison, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 20,2025, at Heritage Funeral Home.
