Sylvia Irene (Pietsch) Kleinedler, age 93, of Glen Ellyn died peacefully on June 13, 2023 at Forest View Nursing Center in Itasca.
Sylvia was born September 02, 1929 to Ann and Albert, the youngest of four children, she was baptized, confirmed and married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She graduated from Glenbard West High School. On May 07, 1949 she married James Kleinedler and they had four children. James and Sylvia have been residents of Glen Ellyn for over 45 years. Sylvia worked at the County Park District and in later years volunteeredto organize local tours and various entertainment events. She enjoyed antique collecting, flowers. knitting, garage sales, card playing, quilting and spending time with her family and friends. Sylvia was a very faithful person and always placed the Lord first in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, daughter Deborah and granddaughter Karen. Survivors include her children James Jr. (Roxanne) Kleinedler of Minnesota, Diane Szucs of McHenry, Judi (Joe) Biewer of Lombard; 9 grandchildren James III ( Sunyoung) Kleinedler, Jeff (Angie) Kleinedler, Rick (Colleen) Russo, Gina (Tony) Duffy, Lisa Lopez, Joseph Biewer Jr, Nick (Katy) Biewer, Alicia (fiancé Nate) Biewer; 10 great grandchildren Joseph III, Emma, Lily, Nicholas, Haley, Jake, Hudson, Annabelle, Alan and Miles.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 23rd, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 S. Elizabeth St., Lombard. The interment will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at a later date.
