Sylvia Faye McDonald Priest, age 75 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence.
Faye was born on March 3, 1949, in Gordon County, GA, the daughter of the late Bergen “Mack” McDonald and Nettie Louise Burchett McDonald. Prior to her retirement, Faye worked for Springs Industries for over 18 years. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Faye loved her grandchildren and her family.
Faye is survived by: her husband, Earl Wayne Priest; two sons, Wayne Priest and his wife DeAnn and William Priest and his wife Michelle; twelve grandchildren, Glenda Collins and her husband Rodney, Duston Priest and his wife Hannah, Emma Priest, Ella Priest, Kala Payne, Kristen Smith, Haley Williams, Ryley Brewer, Talon Brewer, Shanta McDaniel, Kymberly Collins, and Katelyn Collins; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 4 PM until 8 PM at New Zion Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 2 PM at New Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Hibbert and Reverend Steve Corbin officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers serving include Rodney Collins, Brian Brewer, Duston Priest, Danny Priest, Junior Priest, and Corbin Brown.
