Syrus Sekai Byrd

There are not enough words to express our special little boy. He was a true blessing from God, but we have a few memories to share about this little life that has changed our lives forever.
Syrus was born on October 29, 2023, to Carmon Barbour and Marques Byrd. He was 1 of 7 children and held a special role in each of their lives. His brothers: Malachi was his protector, Aries was his personal punching bag, Torren was his partner in crime. His sisters: Ramiera, Emeryn, and Avery were his personal stylists and jokesters. He created his place in everyone's heart, creating bonds that will last our lifetimes.
Syrus was full of energy, kindhearted and so loving. He loved playing with his siblings, wrecking the house and dancing to music. He enjoyed watching Blues Clues and the Despicable Me movies.
His unexpected passing on January 21, 2025, has left a huge void on our family tree. He in such a short time had created a big presence in our lives. We will miss his voice and cuddles, his big personality, his love and friendship. Yes, someone so young can embrace those around them and create an atmosphere of loving care and friendship. Our precious one was in our lives for 451 days and taught us to value laughter, dancing, how to be adventurous, and enjoy those you love.
Syrus leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents, Carmon Barbour and Marques Byrd; grandparents Leon, Carol, and Diana; his 6 loving siblings and a host of other relatives.
