Tabbey Donnette Thomas, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of our community, departed this life peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 56. Tabbey was born on April 13, 1969, in Scottsburg, Indiana to David and Donna Goines Turner.
A proud graduate of Scottsburg High School, Class of 1987, Tabbey embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and devotion. For ten years, she contributed to the workforce at Aisin USA, yet her true passion lay in her family. She was a remarkable mother to her sons, Bradley Wayne Palmer and Jeffery Michael Palmer, and a doting grandmother to her beloved grandsons, Liam and Kamden who brought her immense joy and laughter. Tabbey's love extended to her furry friends-she found solace and happiness in caring for her dogs and cats.
At home, Tabbey was known for her exceptional cooking, delighting her family with warm meals and sweet treats. She had a ritual of enjoying "Days of Our Lives,".
Tabbey is survived by her devoted husband, Benny Thomas, and her two sons, and her grandsons who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Funeral services to honor Tabbey's life and legacy will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 21, 2025 at Collins Funeral Home. Friends may visit with Tabbey's family from 11:00 am until service time. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Turner Cemetery in New Washington, IN.
In this time of mourning, we encourage all who knew Tabbey to remember her for her boundless love, dedication, and the joy she brought to those around her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Our Hospice of Southern Indiana. Please share memories and condolences at www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
