Tabitha Yvette (Lantz) Soult, age 44, of Oakland, Maryland, passed away on December 24, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital due to complications related to her dialysis treatment. She was born September 24, 1981, the daughter of Randy Lane Lantz of Crellin and the late Annette Ruth (Tharp) Lantz.

Tabitha was a 2000 graduate of Southern Garrett High School, where she became a certified childcare provider. Known as a kind and gentle soul, she chose a different path after high school, dedicating her working years to caring for others. She was employed for several years at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation, later working at the BP in McHenry. As her health declined, she devoted herself entirely to her family as a stay-at-home mother.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 26 years, James Edward Soult of Oakland; her beloved son, Elijah Randall James Soult, age 12, who was the answer to her prayers and the joy of her life; and her cherished puppy, Prancer.

Tabitha is also survived by her sisters, Sacagawea Dawn Lantz (Jesse) of Oakland and Brandie Marie (Lantz) Welch (Mike) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She was a proud and loving aunt to her nephews, Shadoe Joseph Probst of Oakland, Hunter Caleb Lane Welch of Morgantown, Xavier Kendrick Weisend of Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, and Brandt McKinley Torone Welch of Chambersburg; and her nieces, Leah Bray Brown (Anna) of Swanton and Sierra Lee-Ann Probst (Paul) of Oakland. She was especially delighted by her great-niece, Hayven Rein Wilt, and great-nephew, Asa-Lane Welch, who brought her endless laughter and joy.

She is further survived by her in-laws, James and Mildred Rexroad of Swanton and Henry Rexroad of Oakland; and her close and dear friends Brenda McGuire, Jennifer Helmick, Wayne Conklin-who lovingly organized benefits and provided constant encouragement-Phillip Reams, Heather Tichinel- her life-long best friend, Lisa Marsh and Nancy Ptomey, all of whom had always been there for Tabitha. She loved them like family, and their friendship meant the world to her. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive her.

In addition to her mother, Tabitha was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Lantz and Cornelius Tharp, and her grandmothers, Amy Lewis, Lena Gank, Arlet Lantz, Joni Tharp, and Ruth Barker.

Tabitha had a deep love for God and her church family at Loch Lynn Church of God, where Pastors Brother Robert Fletcher, Brother Ivan Ackerman, and Sister Cindy Ackerman made a lasting impact on her life.

She found joy in singing karaoke and could often be found on Monday evenings at the VFW and Thursdays at Black Bear, proudly belting out her famous rendition of "Delta Dawn." She was known for her love of Mickey Mouse, pickles, hand sanitizer, and mints, and for her playful, silly nature that kept everyone around her laughing.

Though Tabitha endured many health struggles throughout her life, she offered comfort to those who loved her in her final days by assuring them that, despite everything, she had been pleased. Her humor, faith, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In accordance with Tabitha's wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service is being planned for late January, with details to be announced at a later date.
