Tamara K. Barabe

Tamara Kay Barabe, age 59, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Tammy was born December 8, 1962 in Monroe, she was the daughter of Stanley and Marilyn (McNeil) Tokarz. She married Mark E. Barabe August 10, 2002 at Monroe Church of the Nazarene.
She was a 1980 graduate of Airport High School and a member of First Baptist Church.
Tammy worked for many years in the mortgage industry for Mortgage One, Decision One and Towne Mortgage as an underwriter, processor, office manager and originator. She most recently worked for Kuehne Nagel as an Ocean Import Coordinator.
She is survived by her husband Mark E. Barabe of Monroe; her mother, Marilyn Tokarz of Monroe; three children, Lindsey Barabe of Monroe, Joshua (Amber) Barabe of San Diego, CA and Bryce Barabe of Monroe; two grandchildren, Kayla and Xander; eight siblings, Ruth Keathley of Taylor, Cheryl (Steven) Metty of Ida, Fran (Carl) Selogy of Georgia, Ronald Tokarz of Florida, Helen (Thomas) LaBeau of Monroe, Randy (Sherrie) Tokarz of Arkansas, Tommy (Laura) of Carleton and Andy (Kimberly) Tokarz of Taylor and many nieces and nephews and their families.
She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Tokarz; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Darlene Barabe; grandparents, Vaughn and Ruth McNeil, Andrew and Anna Tokarz and brother-in-law James Keathley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 2 to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1602 N. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48162, where she will lie instate at 10 a.m. Thursday with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. Revs. Kim and Cindy Semran, pastors of the church, will officiate. The Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
