It is with deep sorrow that we announce Tamara "Tammy" Sue (Welch) Brockman "Mimi" was called to her heavenly home on October 14, 2024, at the age of 66. She passed away in her home, one of the places she found the most comfort.
Tammy was born on March 22, 1958, in Tomah, Wisconsin to Thomas Wayne Welch and Wilna Lillian (Worden) Welch. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, and her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She was known for her role as a mother, the best friend and Mimi to her grandchildren, a partner, a friend, a crafter, a supporter of the ones she loved, and a captivating rockstar who will be shaking her eternal tambourine.
Tammy is survived by her fiancé, James Ruskosky of Mauston; her children, AdamCade (Victoria) Gilson of Eau Claire, Makensie (Tyler) Watson of Elkhorn, and Brayvyn (Aaron) Hammer of Hillsboro; her grandchildren, Khloe and Elise Watson, Landrie and Gaitlin Hammer, and Paxton Gilson; her brother, Mike (Diane) Welch of Tomah; and sister, Wanda Sheldon. She is further survived by many nieces, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Wilna "Free Willy"; her brothers, Dennis and Steven Welch and brother-in-law, Rodney Sheldon.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, 11:00 AM at the Queen of The Apostles Parish, 315 W. Monroe St., Tomah. Father Ethan Hokamp will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Tomah with a Rosary beginning at 4:00 PM and again on Friday, at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered by visiting www.sonnenburgfamilyfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the family are requested.
May God grant Tammy Sue (Welch) Brockman eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon her.
"Some are like water, some are like heat, some are a melody, and some are the beat. Sooner or later, they will all be gone. Why don't they stay young forever?"

Our sincere condolences to Kenzie, Adam Brayvyn, and to all the family.
We knew Tammy for quite a few years. She was a special lady , fun loving , generous ,and kind . My favorite memory of her is when she and her friend Debbie would come and sit out in front of our house in the golf cart waiting for me to come out n then they would shout. "We want cookies ".
RIP Tammy. You will never be forgotten.

Tammy was an honorary member of the Johnson sisterhood, her given name was Biker T Johnson! She was a treasured member of our sisterhood and the first to pass making this a difficult time for all of us. We all appreciated Tammy´s heart of gold, love for her friends and family and her adventurous spirit. You were loved by so many and your absence will be hard on all of us. RIP Biker T, we love you dearly
