Tamara McTigue Record

Townsend, MA - Tamara McTigue Record, 53, of Wallace Hill Road died unexpectedly December 15, 2023 from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Born November 4, 1970 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Robert and Gloria (Northrup) McTigue.
Tamara graduated from Portsmouth High School.
Tamara was a highly intelligent woman of seemingly unlimited talents and energy. She began her professional career in financial services at John Hancock in Boston. Among her many achievements, she proudly designed and managed a million dollar system conversion. She later transferred her skills to the field of property management, where she was both a Property Manager, for Preservation Management, Inc., and an Occupancy Manager, for Stewart Property Management. She was most proud of using her skills to help house people in need, and housed many homeless individuals over the course of her career.
She was a loving, caring mother who was a guiding light for her daughter, Rachel. She was also a loving wife, partner, and soulmate to her late husband David for over 30 years.
She was always most at home in nature, be it long walks in the woods or spending days by the ocean. She loved music, especially playing her violin with her daughter, Rachel. She was enthusiastic about history, particularly family history. She spent many hours researching her heritage and teaching her family about their roots. She was an avid reader, constantly on the search for knowledge and truth. She also was passionate about justice, and correcting wrongs in the world. She loved her New England Patriots and her Boston Bruins. She adored all living creatures, but had a special fondness in her heart for horses, her dogs Willow, Ember, Teddy, and Mindy, as well as her tortoise Willis. She enjoyed going on little adventures and spending time fishing. She spent much of her time helping others, whenever they needed her. She was a very spiritual person, who spent much time thinking about life in her garden. Above all else, she most loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, David Eric Record, her mother, Gloria (Northrup) McTigue, and her father Robert John McTigue.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Erin Record of Pepperell, MA; her sister Bonnie Ostroski of Stoughton, MA; her brother John McTigue and wife Doreen of Rockport, MA; her sister Holly Descouteaux and husband John of Stoughton, MA; her nephews Jonathan and Steven; her nieces Jennifer and Gloria; her grand-nephew Arthur; her grand-niece Kali; and several beloved cousins, especially in the Northrup and McGowen clans.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home & Crematory, 77 Exeter Road (Route 108), Newmarket, NH.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in South Side Cemetery, Nottingham.
