Tamara Diana Rhoten passed away at home on March 14th, 2022. Tami was born October 2nd 1961 in Seattle, WA, and was the second child adopted by Ron and Beth Rhoten at the age of 5 months.
Tami had a great love for animals, little children, babies, and listening to The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. She especially loved cats and enjoyed having them as pets. Tami attended school in the Puyallup School District, graduating in 1981. Tami liked to be creative by making loom hats out of yarn and giving them as gifts, as well as helping at the local Food Bank and teasing her fellow co-workers. Tami suffered with many health challenges, especially in her later years.
A great joy to Tami was the birth of her daughter Emily in 1984.
Tami is survived by Emily and former husband Kenny Thulin; she is also survived by her sister Chelli Pogue, brother-in-law Butch Pogue, brother Wes Rhoten, sister-in-law Maria Rhoten, and many nieces and nephews. Tami was preceded in death by both her parents. Found among items at her apartment was a small card stating: "I am precious in His sight." Tami is precious to her Heavenly Father, is loved by family and friends, and will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2455 S. 78th St. Tacoma, WA 98409 on Saturday, March 26th at 11:00am.
