Tamekia Rochelle Samuel

Tamekia Samuel of Jasper, Texas transitioned peacefully on November 18, 2024, after a short illness at her home with her family gathered around. Tamekia was born on January 03,1988 to the late John Stephen Garrett and Tammy Renee Samuel.
Tamekia was born with spina bifida. Doctors gave her an 11 year life expectancy and said she would never walk, but God said otherwise. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Tamekia didn't allow her condition to limit her ability to give Him praise. She loved to sing in the church choir and spend time with her loved ones. She defied all the odds, not only did she walk, she gave birth to 10 children. Tamekia didn't allow the doctor's diagnosis to overshadow God's promise. She was a fighter until the day she won her battle with her illness and transition to her new home.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Royal Wallee, father John Stephen Garrett, sister Tashayna Samuel brother Robert Acles her maternal grandmother Ruby Samuel parental grandparents Chester and Minnie Garrett.
She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her mother Tammy Samuel, children KeTrevion, Aniyah, Samiyah, Kaydence, King, Layla, Ceasar, Raquel, Messiah/Lamar, her life partner Labeeb Wallee, her grandfather Billy Mahathay (Sandra), her siblings Natasha Adams, Stephenie Adams (James), Taisha Samuel, Darius Garrett, Tanisha Samuel, TyKedran Cooper (Regzane), Joshua Cooper, and Joydai Cooper. Bonus-Mom Ylonda Attaway, Bonus-Dad Paul Cooper, God sister Demirae Britton and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
