Tammy Lee (Gingrich) Adams, 62, of Enola, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Harrisburg, PA, to parents Patricia and David Gingrich Sr. Tammy graduated from East Pennsboro Area High School, class of 1979. Prior to her retirement in 2019, she dedicated over 35 years of Federal service to the Department of the Navy as a civilian contract specialist. Upon retirement, Tammy continued to be the ultimate Mimi, spending her days picking berries, visiting the farm, and having pool days and sleepovers with her granddaughters.
Tammy enjoyed spending time at the Enola Sportsmen's Club, where she was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. Never on time for anything, she was always on "Tammy Time". She loved traveling, people watching, fall festivals, PB&Js from Whistle Stop and road trips with her girl gang.
In April 2022, Tammy was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She courageously fought through 12 rounds of chemo and radiation and was blessed with a Whipple operation in February 2023. Since then, she made memories with trips to the beach, State College, and Disney World. She was a Whipple Warrior and remained No Evidence of Disease upon her too-soon death, leaving her family and friends heartbroken.
Tammy is survived by her father David Gingrich Sr. of Enola, and her daughter Jessica McFarland (Cliff) of Mechanicsburg, PA; her granddaughters Anna and Josephine; her brother David Gingrich Jr. (Tina) of Enola, PA; her sister Tracy Reed (Robert) of Dillsburg, PA; many nieces and nephews including Angie (Charlie), Nick and Nathan Payne; Amy (Dylan), Dylan Jr, and Taylor Buckwalter; Christopher (Jackie), Kai and Lani Gingrich; Leah Gingrich; Tommy and Angel Reed.
She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Gingrich, and her sister Terri (Gingrich) Weaver.
In honor of Tammy's passing, she would appreciate any remembrances and donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Summerdale United Methodist Church located at 203 Second Street, Summerdale, PA 17093. Visitation will be 10:00am-11:00am prior to the service.
The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Adams family.

I first met Tammy when I worked at DLA, she was one of the most helpful people I met in my first few years of working there. Her and Doug were best friends at work and those two together just always made me laugh the way they would joke back and forth. I will miss seeing her at the Sportsmans club too for events when I would run into her there with my family. A great one gone way too soon, many prayers and hugs to Jessica and family

When I started at DLA in 2015, Tammy was so welcoming, she was someone I could lean on for help along with one of her best friends Doug! Those two together always made me laugh, she was such a shining star. I will also miss seeing her at the Sportsmansclub when our family goes for Santa or the Easter egg hunt. We will forever keep her in our hearts, may her memory live on in everyone´s hearts, as she was such a beautiful lady inside and out. Xox God bless you Jessica and family
