Tammy Cook Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 23, 2025.
Tamela (Tammy) Darlene Cook, age 65, of Lucas, passed peacefully in her home on Monday, October 20th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tammy was an inspiration to all, not only because of her ability to remain positive when facing adversity, but also in the way she truly loved those closest to her. Tammy lived life to the fullest and made a positive impact on all that had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on August 9, 1960, Tammy was the beloved daughter of Dayton and Sylvia Morgan, the devoted wife of Kevin Cook, the cherished sister of Andrea (Allen) Martin, Brian (Amie) Morgan, and the loving mother of Ryan Cook.
Tammy and Kevin were happily married for 33 years. They were avid travelers, often finding their way to the beach-one of Tammy's favorite places. They shared a love for attending concerts and spent countless warm days relaxing together on their pontoon out on the lake. Her dogs, Butters and Milo, were never far from her side, always cuddling up and comforting her with their unconditional love.
Being a mother was all Tammy ever wanted in life. Watching Ryan grow into the man he is today was something she truly admired and proudly shared with those around her. Tammy was deeply involved in her community and, even throughout her battle with cancer, faithfully served as President of the Lucas Athletic Boosters.
Beyond motherhood, Tammy cherished her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews-each of whom she adored and often spoiled. Tammy expressed her love through giving, laughter, and time spent together.
Tammy's love, light, and wisdom extended far beyond her family. She attended Storyside Church, where she served in the children's ministry, and had previously shared her gifts in the Berean Baptist Church children's ministry.
Close friends are invited to join the family for a private ceremony at Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington, where Tammy will be laid to rest beside her parents. All that knew and loved Tammy are invited to celebrate her life at 4 PM on Saturday, October 25th, at the Lucas Community Center, 252 W. Main St., Lucas, Ohio 44843.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the good faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
