Margaret Elaine Bishop

Margaret Elaine Bishop, age 82, of Sunbury, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. She was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on March 1, 1943, to the late Robert N. Butcher, Sr. and Cecil P. (McClintick) Butcher.
Margaret was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School. She retired from the City of Westerville Electric Division where she assisted clients and coworkers in her role as administrative assistant.
Margaret enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and shopping. She delighted in partaking in anything made of chocolate and was a VIP member of Bob Evans Restaurants. Holidays were such a special time for Margaret, she enjoyed decorating, cooking, sharing a meal with her family and playing board games after. Christmas was her most favorite holiday and she loved making it extra special with her personal touches.
Margaret loved all animals, but schnauzers were her furry best friends. The most important aspect of Margaret's life was her family. She devoted herself to being a fantastic Mom and Gramie. Margaret was a wonderful lady who will be forever loved and deeply missed by all.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kelly (Brad) Moreland and Travis (Lana) Bishop; grandchildren, Paige (Chase) Stone, Kayla (Stephen) Zupp, Eli (Alexis) Bibler, and Laynee Bishop; great-grandchildren, Gavyn Stone, Brilynn Stone, Briggs Zupp, Zander Zupp, and Ariella Bibler; sister, Joyce Price; many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Robert N. (Cecil) Butcher, Sr.; brothers, Robert N. (Hazel) Butcher, Jr., Lowell (Shirley) Butcher, and Keith Butcher; brother-in-law, Norman Price; and best friend, Peggy Stewart.
An inurnment will take place at a later date in Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg, Ohio. Please consider a contribution in Margaret's memory to your local Humane Society.
