Obituary
Tammy Shifflet Murphy, age 39, of Olympia, passed away June 29. She was born on March 23, 1982 in Clark County, Kentucky to Larry Shifflet and Shirley Stidham Shifflet. Tammy was a kind, caring woman with a loving heart and great personality. She worked as a caregiver and took her job very serious. Tammy was always smiling and would find the positive in any situation. She loved Christmas and being able to give gifts to others but Halloween was her favorite. Her love for werewolves and vampires lead to many nice costumes. She loved to camp, go fishing, ride motorcycles, being outdoors and animals. She enjoyed going shopping and finding a good bargain. Her love for photography brought joy to many through her pictures she would take. Tammy loved her husband and family. She was always there when she was needed. Tammy will be missed by all that she leaves behind. May they always remember the good times and let the memories carry them through.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, James Murphy; three brothers, Darrell, Bill, and Larry Shifflet; one sister, Chastity Ratliff; one step brother, George South Shifflet; her in laws, James and Sabrina Murphy; several nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 3 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Sammy Faulkner and Chad Lykins officiating. Burial will follow in the Brashear Cemetery in Olympia.
