Tammy Jo Welling, 67, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, June 19th at Munden Funeral Home.
Tammy was born on December 30, 1957, in New Bern, NC, to the late Martin and Judith Critcher. She dedicated several years to working at Walmart, where she was known for her friendliness and strong work ethic, earning the respect of her colleagues and customers alike.
Tammy loved coastal life and enjoyed spending time at the beach and shore, always ready to soak in the sun. In her earlier years, she had a passion for reading, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. She also had a special love for horror movies, enjoying the excitement and thrill they brought.
Above all, Tammy will be remembered as a devoted mother and a proud grandmother, who loved her family dearly.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sommer Morton of Newport and Ashlee Welling Rigney (Eric) of Havelock; son, Shaun Brinson (Amy) of Havelock; sister, Teenya Urness of Florida; brother, Tony Critcher of Beaufort; grandchildren, Jacob Morton of Raleigh, Emma Morton of Boone, Jack Morton of Newport, and Ryan Brinson, Madisyn Brinson, Malakai Jones, and William Rigney, all of Havelock.
In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her daughter, Breanna Nicole Welling and son, Joshua Ryan Brinson.
