Tami Looney Miller, 66, beloved wife, mother, and granna, was called to her eternal resting place on August 30, 2025. She entered this world on November 3, 1958, in Fairfax, OK, born to Jack and Tresa Louise Dillard Looney.
Celebration of Life services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, in the Shidler School Auditorium with Pastor Bob Fausett officiating. Cremation arrangements are in care of Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax, OK.
Tami grew up in Fairfax attending the Fairfax school system and graduating as a proud Fairfax Red Devil. She then attended Northwestern College in Alva, OK and she received her master’s degree from Oklahoma State University. Tami taught School in Fairfax and Shidler for 31 years retiring in 2010. Tami met the love of her life, Jim Miller and they were married April 8, 1994, in Webb City, OK and they made their home in Shidler, OK. Tami was an avid OSU fan, and she enjoyed reading, shopping, going on cruises, and especially spoiling her grandchildren. She was a member of Webb City Church of God.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, James Miller of the home. Bonus children; Jamie Smith and husband Raymond of Shidler, OK, Jill Houtchens of Hollister, MO, Jerrod Miller and wife, Sarah, and Jonathan Miller and wife Amber all of Shidler, OK, grandchildren; Michael Smith and wife Alissa of Neosho, MO, Logan Smith of Kirbyville, MO, Victoria Houtchens of Reeds Spring, MO, Whitley Miller of Stillwater, OK, Connor Houtchens of Hollister, MO, Wyatt Miller of Shidler, OK, Ayden Miller of Shidler, OK, Lucas Houtchens of Hollister, MO and Dixie Miller of Shidler, OK great grandchildren; Rion Wallace and Raylee Wallace with two more arriving soon. She was also survived by numerous cousins.
Tami was preceded in death by her parents.
