Tara d'Auvergne Shields, and her twin sister Tamara, was born May 21, 1960 to loving parents Betty Jane Cample-John and Lewis Scarborough Shields at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
Tara was a loving daughter and sister deeply cherished by her family. Tara held her twin sister's hand in life and always looked out for her. Tara loved her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and all her family and leaves special memories with everyone. Tara had many special friends in life.
Tara graduated from Episcopal High School and Hollins College with a major in Fine Arts. Tara won many awards in high school and college for her significant talents in Art. In high school, Tara was asked to paint an eagle, the school's mascot, on the gym wall which was painted to perfection and loved by the school.
After college, Tara returned to Jacksonville where she worked as a graphic artist and continued to pursue her passion in Art.
She created special artwork for many.
Tara was devoted to her faith and left us on February 27, 2023 to be God's special angel.
A private family service for Tara will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 SAN JOSE BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32207. Following the private family service will be a private family committal service at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 SAN JOSE BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32207.
