Tasha Maynard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home - Poughkeepsie on May 10, 2025.
Tasha Lynn Maynard, 48, of LaGrangeville, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on May 3, 2025. Born on October 30, 1976, in Harlem, NY, she was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Maynard and Darlene Simmons.
Tasha was a vibrant, loving soul who lit up every room she entered. She had a heart of gold and an unforgettable presence-always ready with a helping hand, a warm smile, or a heartfelt hug. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation.
She is survived by her devoted father, Kenneth Maynard of LaGrange, NY; her loving sister, April Cruz of LaGrangeville, NY; and her brother, Richard Pardee. Tasha also leaves behind her cherished found family, many close friends, and her beloved "puppers" Joy and Scrappy, who brought her endless joy.
Tasha dedicated herself to a life of service and compassion. She was a proud volunteer with the East Fishkill Fire Department, where she offered her time and care to those in need. She held several degrees, reflecting her diverse passions and talents-including certifications in horticulture, as a nail technician, and as an EMT, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree.
Tasha adored all things Harry Potter and Mickey Mouse, and she could always be found with her signature iced coffee from Dunkin' Donuts in hand. Her spirit, strength, and unwavering generosity touched countless lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Tasha's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her memory to the East Fishkill Fire Department or a local animal rescue.
