On July 3, 2024, we lost our youngest child, Taylor Carys Baker. While she may be gone, her memory and smile will always live on in the memories of those who knew her. Taylor was a beautiful young woman who accomplished much in her short life and had great and creative interests she pursued with passion. Taylor was an accomplished gymnast, competing and triumphing in multiple state competitions. She was bilingual in both English and Spanish. Her creativity was multi-faceted. She expressed this side of herself through music, artwork, and writing. Taylor had recently developed an interest in filmmaking. After her passing, her family found an almost complete script she was writing.
Taylor leaves behind her parents, Richard Baker and Jennifer Fortino, brother Jacob Baker, sister Ashley (and Keith) Ongman, their children, Harry and Hayes, uncle David (and Marie Pascale) Baker, uncle Andrew Petering, great-aunt Avril Wills and cousins Helen Weston, Vandetta Baker, and Melinda Baker.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11 am at New Hope Community Church located at 8886 Muraoka Drive in Gilroy, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a suicide prevention organization of your choice.

I met Tay a year ago. We didn't meet in the best place but she was always so kind and sweet to me. I was depressed, every morning she helped me get out of bed, she motivated me to get better. She lit up every room with her jokes, laugh, and her bright smile. She was such a sweet person, she helped me through the toughest time of my life. I don't think she'll ever know how much she helped me, how grateful i am for her, the impact she had on me, or how much i miss her. I think about it her almost everyday, i miss her so much.

I didn´t know her much at all, but when she joined my class sophmore year, I felt like she was so similar to me even though I never spoke to her and only knew about her from other people. Months later after this tragedy I think of her everyday while the rest of the world is moving on.
