Heaven gained an angel on Friday, April 4, 2025, when Taylor Paige Cochran, 20, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. Taylor was born at Wellmont Hospital in Kingsport in 2004 and was raised in the Bloomingdale community. She attended Ketron Elementary and Sullivan North Middle and High School where she was a star athlete excelling in basketball, softball, and volleyball. Taylor was born with a ball in her hand. Her life was changed for the better when her daughter, Haizley, was born in December of 2022. She loved being a mother and was always very family oriented. Taylor lit up every room she went in to with her big smile; to know her was to love her. She will be remembered for her outspoken nature and her ability to tell it like it is. Growing up, Taylor attended Double Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jeffery Lynn Crawford; uncle, Joseph Lee Crawford; maternal grandfather, Jeffery Lance Cochran; and paternal grandfather, Glen France.
Taylor is survived by her daughter, the love of her life, Haizley Ray-lynn Davis; her loving mother, Jenna Nicole Cochran; twin sister and best friend, Tierstan Leigh-Anne Cochran; sister, Tessa Ray-Lynn Lane; brother, Kiaryn Crawford; niece, Kahlani RaeLynn Cochran; maternal grandparents, Donna and Robert McCraney; paternal grandparents, Julie and Charles Adkins; grandmother, Tammy Baker; great grandmother, Wilda Edwards; uncles, Kaleb McCraney and his wife Myranda, Jarrett Cochran, George Tyler Burton; aunts, Jaclyn McConnell, Kristi Crawford; special cousin, Aliyah Brooke Felty; stepfather, Justin Ray Lane; father of her child, Joseph Dylan Davis; her beloved Frenchie, Millie Davis; special friends, Kierra Kotee, Isabell Wilkinson, Dayjah Letner; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and a gang of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Kiaryn Crawford, Justin Lane, Sincere Bethea, Nicholas Bridwell, Riley Poland, D’Anthony Tuthill, Ishawn Graves, Stephen McGovern, and George Tyler Burton.
