On May 23rd, 2024, Taylor Jon Jengo, aged 30, passed away peacefully at Hackensack University Hospital after a brave & fierce battle with leukemia. Born on December 24th, 1993, Taylor's life, though brief, was filled with creativity and love.
Taylor grew up in Edison, NJ, and graduated from Edison High School in 2011. She later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, from Kean University. From a young age, Taylor had a profound passion for art. She began drawing and sketching as soon as she could hold a pencil. Her talent was widely recognized, earning her various awards, and her artwork adorns the homes of family and friends.
Taylor's love for art extended to tattooing. She became an apprentice at Iron & Pine Tattoo, where she dedicated herself to mastering the craft and was on the brink of starting her career as a tattoo artist.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Taylor enjoyed concerts, visiting parks, photography, beach vacations, and spending time with her loved ones. She was known for her beauty, vibrant spirit, humor, and a touch of sass. Taylor's warm and loving nature touched many hearts, making her unforgettable to all who met her. Even the caring staff at the hospital quickly grew fond of her.
The name Taylor, meaning "clothed with salvation" and "eternal beauty," perfectly encapsulates her special soul.
Taylor is survived by her mother, Cindy Cutler; her father, Donald Jengo; her grandparents, Donald and Anice Jengo, her BJoan (Joan Sejeck); Uncle Frank, her partner, Nick Napolitano; and her brothers, Cameron, Tyler, and Jake. She was predeceased by her sister, Cassidy Elizabeth Cutler. Taylor also leaves behind an extended family and numerous friends who loved her deeply & of course her precious cat Naya.
A Memorial Service will be held at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home in Metuchen, NJ on Monday May 27th, 2024 from 3-7pm. https://www.costello-runyon.com/
