Taylor Watson McLaughlin, 30, was born on April 22, 1995, to John and Shannon McLaughlin in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Taylor went to be with Jesus on June 29, 2025.
He spent his life in the Midwest City and Choctaw area and had a deep love for sports. Growing up, Taylor played baseball, football, and basketball, but his true passion was baseball. When Taylor hit the diamond, his face would light up-he truly shined on that field.
Taylor is survived by his father, John McLaughlin, and stepmother, Kellie McLaughlin of Oklahoma City; his mother, Shannon McLaughlin of Choctaw; his brother, Ryan McLaughlin and wife Krysta of Midwest City; his sister, Katelyn McLaughlin of Choctaw; and two stepbrothers, Anthony Bennert of Midwest City and Tyler Stokes of Choctaw. He is also survived by his aunt, Betsy Thelin and her husband Tim of Choctaw; his uncle, Scott McLaughlin of Oklahoma City; and numerous other cherished family members.
He leaves behind two beloved children, Taylan McLaughlin and Tanion Green, both of Harrah. He is also survived by his nieces, Brooklynn Bennert and Haislee McLaughlin, and nephews, Kashtyn and Rylan Vance, and Hudson McLaughlin. Taylor will be greatly missed by his great-grandmother Arlene Roper "Granny" of Newalla and his grandparents, Ray and Becky Stokes of Choctaw. Taylor was also preceded in death by his baby brother, Braxton Ray McLaughlin, and his grandparents, John and Carolyn McLaughlin.
A memorial service will be held at Barnes Friederich funeral home located at 1820 S. Douglas Blvd. Midwest City, Oklahoma at 3:00pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
