It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ted Craig Hoppes, 80, of Anderson, Indiana, who left us on October 23, 2025, at his home. Born on June 24, 1945, in Anderson to Fred and Ruth (Cook) Hoppes.After graduating from Lapel High School in 1963, Ted proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Upon his return, he dedicated his career to General Motors in Anderson as a skilled tool and die maker.Ted was a beloved member of the Lapel American Legion and had a passion for working with his hands, often creating intricate models. He enjoyed nature, frequently hiking and walking hand-in-hand with his wife, Jan. Ted loved watching sports and enjoyed hanging out with the Boys at the Barn, always ready for a good laugh.He is survived by his wife, Jan (Blockson) Hoppes; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Patti (husband, Jeff) Mahoney and Lynn Blockson; Nieces and Nephews-in-law, Bill (wife, Priya), Jim, Cassie, and Clayton.Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Fletcher and Penny Lampkin, Don Blockson, and Ed Blockson; Nephews-in-law, Bret and Jay Blockson; Mother and Father-in-law, Lillard and Anna Blockson, and several Aunts and Uncles.Cremation will take place at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.Online Condolences may be shared at: www.bozellfuneralhomes.com
