It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Teddy "Ted" Dewayne Reynolds. Born November 26th, 1960, to James Elmer Reynolds & Barbara Shelton Reynolds in Manchester Tennessee. Ted was a quiet, powerful presence whose stoic leadership was admired by all. He would see tasks through, and if it came to his work, he was determined and extremely dedicated. Ted's love of crushing rock came from his late father and late uncle, Brannon. This love took him from a small farm in Summitville, TN to quarries all around the world. Becoming Vice President of Operations for Vulcan Materials, his career was one of his favorite hobbies. Though that wouldn't mean he was an uncaring father. His children adored him, and some of their fondest memories were the times cheering on the Tennessee Vols, or watching Ted smoke meat on the grill. Even though he could never eat it all, he could never pass up a BOGO deal at Publix. He'd always make football games a special occasion, making sure in one way or another his kids had Beeler's wings. Ted would often reminisce about his own experiences fishing with his father, who instilled the love of the sport into him, and the love was passed down to his son Elliott as well. Ted was a huge fan of The Eagles and would often travel to see them in concert several times a year. Ted will be sorely missed, though his legacy lives on in his family.
In addition to his mother, Ted is survived by son Elliott Reynolds (Ashton), daughter Olivia Tomlin (Matt); Grandchildren; Ella Grace (5), Riley Kate (3), & Luke Tomlin (6mos), Neely (3) and Annie Reynolds (1), who will miss their Poppy; Brothers Jimmy Reynolds (Wanda), Steven Reynolds, sister Theresa Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews who he adored.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Elmer Reynolds.
The Reynolds family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
The family asks for prayers during this time, and appreciates your well wishes.
May God bless Ted and the Reynolds family.
