Teddy Galberth Obituary
Teddy Louis Galberth, 68,left this world on Thursday, February 20, 2025 with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, just as he always did.
He was born January 3, 1957 in New Haven, CT, a son of the late William and Mildred (Robinson) Galberth. Teddy was a man of simple pleasures who found happiness in spending time fishing, playing pool with friends and dancing the #1 spinner. Teddy was an avid Washington Commanders fan, but above all he cherished his family. He never met a stranger, children in the neighborhood would called him "Uncle T" and were often met with a popsicle on a hot summer day.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three siblings, Alexander, Claude and Bernard Galberth.
A devoted husband and father, Teddy is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Gloria (Smith) Galberth; three children, Daryl Smith, April Galberth and Teddy (Nicole) Galberth; siblings, Terry (Nita) Galberth, Rudolph "Snooky" Galberth, Betty (Billy) Booker, Ruth "Ruthy" Smith, William (Barb) Mouton, William (Nancy) Galberth, Jr., Marie "Toni" Bass; Nancy "Nanny Lou" (Donald) Galloway; Linda Galberth and Rufus Leggett; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the family and friends that went above and beyond to ensure that Teddy was taken care of in his time of need.
