Tedrick Johnson Obituary

Tedrick Johnson was born January 11, 1952 to the late James C. Sr. and Clara Lagarde Johnson. He then departed this world on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the age of 69.
He was baptized at an early age and served as a devoted musician at Power House of Deliverance for a number of years. Tedrick graduated from South Terrebonne High School in 1970, then hired by Terrebonne General Medical Center, working in the kitchen and eventually worked his way up as an X-Ray Technician and Traction Tech. He worked at Terrebonne General for 31 years before retiring. Tedrick then went to have one child in his first union, then married Patty Dardar in 1986, where they then had two children from their union.
Tedrick was preceded in death by his daughter, Santana Johnson; parents, James C. Sr. and Clara Lagarde Johnson; paternal grandparents, Lester Johnson and Lulu Tolbert; maternal grandparents, Alfred Lagarde and Mary Poindexter Lagarde; sister, Clara Johnson Bell; and brother, John Johnson.
Tedrick leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 35 years, Patty Dardar Johnson; two daughters, Cheeia Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK and Tedrica Johnson of Houma, LA; three grandchildren, Halajah Johnson, Omri Johnson, and Trindi Berryhill; three brothers, James C. (Dianne) Johnson, Jr. of Houma, LA. Keith (Shena) Johnson of Gulfport, MS, and Eric Johnson of Houma, LA; three sisters, Mary Johnson of Houma, LA, Beverly (Horace) Boston of Grand Prairie, TX, and Jacqueline Johnson of Dallas, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park, from 10:00 am until his Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Chauvin, LA.
