To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8 (NKJV)
Terek Shiion Meggett Jr. was born in Newark, NJ on 11/28/1999. He was the beloved son of Terek L. Meggett, Sr and Belinda Ann Bolden. TJ, as he was affectionately known, entered eternal peace on 01/21/2025. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Sherrie Elaine Meggett and great grandmother Dorothy Mae Meggett.
TJ was educated in the Newark and Irvington Public School system. Although he briefly attended high school in North Carolina, TJ graduated from Irvington High School. TJ played pop warner and HS football emulating after his "dear dad." After HS he worked several jobs before returning to North Carolina where he mirrored in his dad's footsteps in the family business as a culinary chef at Brick City's Kitchen II LLC. TJ was a quiet young man who displayed good manners and had a big heart. He enjoyed his family and will be sorely missed by all.
TJ leaves to cherish in his memories forever, his adored parents, Terek(Tiakima) and Belinda(Christopher). His wonderful Godparents, Eric and Kelly Fortson and Godsister, Nia. His loving grandparents, Annie and Terry Bolden Sr. Great grandmothers, Hilda Obery and Margaret Frazier Pierson. His loving siblings Zymir Meggett and Amir Johnson and sister, Zaneyah Jones. He also leaves to mourn in his memories, his Uncles Marquis Meggett, Terry Bolden Jr. and Aunt Janina Bolden; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
