PERRYSBURG -- Terence Truman Selfe, age 67, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on August 7, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born on August 11, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio to Truman J. and Betty J. (Snyder) Selfe.
Terry was raised in Troy Township, and helped his father and grandfather with planting and harvesting on the family farm. He loved the property, and continued to live in the original farmhouse until his death.
Terry was a 1974 graduate of Lake High School and Penta Vocational School.
He was also a member of the Ohio Army National Guard, deploying to Central America, and retired as a Sergeant.
He began his construction career as a carpenter and drywall installer. While working for QBS Construction, Terry served as Quality Control Manager and Superintendent for numerous Corp of Engineer projects in Indiana and Tennessee.
Terry worked with KOA Kampgrounds of America at the Stony Ridge campground for the last thirteen years. He handled many maintenance tasks, and
greatly enjoyed meeting and hearing travel stories from the campers who arrived from across the country.
Terry loved sports of all kinds, especially NASCAR, Drag Racing, the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University Football. His most recent passion was practicing and competing in American Rimfire Association events, specifically the 22 Caliber Unlimited Class rifle.
Terry was the Administrator for Telecaster Players Facebook Page, and enjoyed online discussions of vintage guitars and amplifiers, and all things Rock and Roll.
He loved being outdoors, growing tomatoes and hot peppers, and sipping coffee on his porch with "Runt", his best buddy at his side.
Terry is survived by his brother, Mark (Pat) Selfe, of Raleigh, North Carolina, his nephew, Andrew (Emily) Selfe of Holly Springs, NC, and his niece, Amy (Alan) Unruh, of Cary, NC. He is predeceased by his parents, Truman and Betty Selfe.
Terry will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
