Teresa J. Kell, 75, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born on March 15, 1950, Teresa lived a life defined by resilience, independence, and a deep, abiding love for animals. Teresa worked at Harps Exotic Fish and Pets and the Warrick Humane Society before finding her dream job as a veterinary assistant at All Breed Pet Care with Dr. Von Houten. A licensed wildlife rehabilitator, she opened her home to care for countless animals over the years, creating a safe haven for creatures great and small. She will be remembered for her sharp wit and the enormous heart she poured into the animals she loved.
Teresa is survived by her sister-in-law and caregiver, Dakri Sinclair; brothers James Davis, Jr., Robert Davis, and Daniel Davis; and by her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved partner, Dirk Sinclair; her parents, Pauline Tucker and James Davis; and her sister, Paula Landers.
Her final days were spent in compassionate care at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 27, at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warrick Humane Society, a local animal rescue, or Linda White Hospice House, in honor of her deep love for animals and the care she received in her final days.
